Wall Street Stocks End Lower

Wall Street stocks ended lower Tuesday following the steep losses on Monday, as investors were still cautious about the economy and corporate earnings outlook after the markets closed for four sessions last week because of the terrorist attacks on America.

Two students of Peking University take a close look at some of the material evidences of the Japanese militarists collected by Ren Dianjue, a farmer living in Xiazhuang Village, central China's Henan Province, at an exhibition held by Ren in Peking University Tuesday September 18, 2001, in Beijing . Various activities were held Tuesday in China to commemorate the 70th anniversary of the "September 18th Incident", the seizure of Shenyang in 1931 by the Japanese invaders.

Members of a delegation formed with 350 people by the Japan-China Friendship Society bow in silent tribute Tuesday September 18, before the remains of the Chinese killed by the Japanese militarists on September 16, 1932, when the Japanese invaders occupied northeast China's Liaoning Province. The 350-member delegation visited Tuesday the site where more than 3,000 villagers were killed by the Japanese invaders in Fushun, Liaoning Province, on September 16, 1932. Various activities were held Tuesday in China to commemorate the 70th anniversary of the "September 18th Incident", the seizure of Shenyang in 1931 by the Japanese invaders.
