China, Vietnam Sign Drug Control Agreement
The narcotics control departments of south China's
Guangxi
Zhuang Autonomous Region and
Vietnam
's Guang Ninh province signed Tuesday signed an agreement on joint action against drug trafficking.
The collaboration between two sides is significant for combating the drug dealings on the border between the two countries, said Lu Binghua, representative of the Guangxi Narcotics Control Commission and director of the region's public security department.
Lu said the agreement has been reached under the initiative and coordination of the United Nations Drug Control Program and the joint efforts between drug control departments of China and Vietnam.
