Japanese Invasion Day of Northeast China Remembered

A meeting on the theme " never forget Japanese Invasion Day" was hosted Tuesday in Shenyang, northeast China's Liaoning Province.

More than 200 historians, overseas Chinese patriots attended the meeting, which condemned the crimes committed by Japanese troops, recalled the victory of the Chinese people's Anti-Japanese War under the leadership of the Communist Party of China, and expressed the common wish for world peace and the country's future development and prosperity.

On the campus of Nankai University in the north China port city of Tianjin, 18 tolls sounded starting at 9:00 a.m. today to remind students and teachers of the day the Japanese army invaded China in 1931.

Professors with the university condemned the crimes of the Japanese troops, calling on fellow students to study hard for the grand goal of building a strong China.
