ARATS Expresses Condolences to Taiwan's Typhoon Victims

The Association for Relations Across the Taiwan Straits (ARATS) sent a letter of condolences to Taiwan's Foundation for Exchange Across the Taiwan Straits Tuesday, expressing profound condolences to the victims of the typhoon Nari that hit Taiwan in the past couple of days.

The letter says that some areas of Taiwan were hit by the typhoon Nari in the past consecutive days, resulting in the death of several dozen people, injuring more than 100 and serious loss of property.

"Please convey our profound condolences to the victimized compatriots, and deep sympathy to the family members of the victims, the injured and the mass of the people in the disaster areas," the letter says.
