US Policemen Visit China's Guizhou Province

A group of police officers from the United States visited southwest China's Guizhou Province Monday and exchanged views with local police officers on anti-drug addiction work.

The delegation, led by Sheriff Harry Lee of Jefferson Parish, Louisiana, visited an anti-drug addiction center under the Guiyang City Police Bureau and talked with people who voluntarily came to the center to get rid of their addictions.

Lee said China has some experiences that the United States can learn from in assisting and educating people who want to stop using drugs.

Wang Zhengfu, deputy governor of Guizhou, met with Lee Monday night. The U.S. delegation, arrived here Sunday night and is expected to visit the province for five days.
