China's Interbank Trading Down in August

The August turnover of China's interbank money market totaled 434.364 billion yuan (about 52 billion US dollars), down 15.3 percent over July, according to latest statistics.

In August, the average daily turnover in credit and bond repurchase agreements reached 67.1 and 358.398 billion yuan, respectively, while that in spot bonds stood at 8.858 billion yuan.

Seven-day items were still the most popular choices, accounting for 92.1 percent of the bond repurchase.
