Large Education Park Planned in NW China Industrial City

Shenyang, an old industrial base of China, plans to build the country's largest education park over the next three years, according to sources.

According to the plan, all the educational resources in the zone will be shared by all the primary and secondary schools.

The education park will be built in the Huanggu District, which has a good number of high-level schools.

It is learned that 100 percent of the district's children of school age were studying in schools last year. Moreover, 89.8 percent of the graduates of junior middle schools went to senior high schools. And 75.2 percent of senior middle school graduates were enroled in colleges.

In recent years, the Huanggu District's investment in education has increased by an average 13 percent on a yearly basis. This year, the district plans to invest more than 100 million yuan in the education park construction.
