Beijing Car Exhibition Focuses on Technological Innovation
Over 300 famous automobile and machinery manufacturers from home and abroad are displaying their latest hi-tech products at the ongoing "2001 Beijing Automobile, Machinery and Service Exhibition".
"Confronting the challenges after entering the World Trade Organization, the Chinese car industry will pay closer attention to technological innovation," said Zhao Haiming, president of China Automotive Industry International Corporation (CAIIC).
He said that the exhibition will promote exchanges between domestic and foreign car-related technology.
In the five-day exhibition, over 100 vehicles, various equipment and repair facilities will be on show in the exhibition hall covering over 20,000 square meters.
The exhibition which opened Saturday is jointly sponsored by China Machinery Industry Federation and the CAIIC.
