HK Police Delegation Pays Duty Visit to Europe

A delegation of Hong Kong Police departed Hong Kong Saturday for a two-week duty visit to Europe, the government said in a press release.

The delegation, led by Hong Kong's Commissioner of Police, Tsang Yam-pui, will visit two European countries prior to attending the 70th Interpol General Assembly Session which will be held in Budapest in the last week.

The delegation will first visit Amsterdam on September 16 to hold high level meetings with the Dutch Police regarding illicit drug trafficking activities.

This will be followed by a visit to Austria, including Vienna and Salzburg, on September 19 to exchange expertise in dealing with public order events.

The agenda of this year's Interpol session will focus on international police cooperation in the fight against organized crimes including human smuggling, high-tech crime, international drug trafficking, terrorism and vehicle crime.
