University-Enterprise Fair Gets Millions in ContractsThe 9th Liaoning university- enterprise cooperation fair closed Friday in this provincial capital of northeast China, sealing 351 contracts involving a total investment of 650 million yuan (78 million US dollars).During the three-day fair, 140 universities and scientific research institutes held talks with 1,300 industrial enterprises from all over the country. Technological cooperation contracts were signed with 61 universities and institutes. The implementation of technological contracts signed over the past five years turned out production value totaling 26 billion yuan (3 billion US dollars), according to statistics. The province held the first such fair in 1992. |
