Seven Drug Traffickers Sentenced

Seven convicted drug traffickers were sentenced by a Beijing court Friday with terms ranging from death with two years' probation, life in prison, and two to 14 years.

According to the first trial ruling by Beijing No.2 Intermediate People's Court, four of the traffickers were convicted of purchasing the methamphetamine hydrochloride, also known as "ice," other drugs and marijuana from Liang Yuqiang, Xu Jianhua and Li Libo in south China's Guangdong province.

The four Beijing residents are Liu Wei from east China's Anhui province; Zhang Cheng, a student of an unidentified school in Beijing; Jia Yan; and Wang Di.
