Mubarak, Bush Discuss Anti-Terrorism Issues by Phone
Egyptian President Hosni Mubarak late Thursday held phone talks with his U.S. counterpart George W. Bush on anti-terrorism issues, the state-run MENA news agency reported.
During the phone conversation initiated by Bush, the two leaders stressed that it is necessary to take "firm" international actions against all forms of terrorism, MENA said.
Mubarak reiterated Egypt's condemnation of Tuesday's attacks against the United States, expressing his country's "deep" condolences for the victims of the tragedy, MENA said.
For his part, Bush mentioned the statements he made, in which he had called for respecting the Muslim community in the United States, MENA said, adding that the two presidents also exchanged views over other issues of mutual concern.
