PLA Deputy Chief of General Staff Meets Indonesian Guests

Xiong Guangkai, deputy chief of general staff of the People's Liberation Army of China (PLA), met with a delegation headed by Deputy Commander of the Indonesian Defense Force Command and Staff College Rear Marshall Teuku Syahril in Beijing Thursday afternoon.

Xiong said that the PLA places great importance on the development of friendly relations with Indonesia and will continue to promote cooperation and exchanges with the armed forces of Indonesia in all fields.

Syahril expressed the wish to further carry on the friendly relations between the two countries, saying that his visit will help improve Indonesia's understanding of China.
