Singapore President Sends Condolences to U.S. President

Singapore President has sent condolences to U.S. leader for the tragic loss of lives caused by terrorist attacks in various parts of the U.S.

In a letter to U.S. President George Bush, Nathan said that he was deeply shocked at the news of Tuesday's terrorist attacks in various parts of the United States and grieved at the tragic loss of lives.

He said that Singapore's government and people share with the U.S. leader, government and people the deep sense of anguish and grief and hope that those who have been injured will pull through before long.

He said that these terrorist attacks should be roundly condemned by all civilized peoples.

Nathan flew to China this morning for an 11-day state visit.

Meanwhile, Singapore Airlines has announced that it has suspended all flights to and from the united States until further notice.

The Singapore Telecommunication company affirmed that calls to New York and Washington have been affected due to high volume of calls and its customers may experience difficulty getting through to both cities.
