Macao Chief Executive Shows Condolences to US

Chief Executive of China's Macao Special Administrative Region (SAR) Edmund Ho Hau Wah expressed Wednesday his condolences to the United States, which was attacked by terrorists on September 11.

Ho told the press that he has sent a message on behalf of the SAR government to U.S. President George W. Bush, in which Ho expressed sympathy and condolences to him for the disastrous attacks, which caused great casualties.

"We are seriously concerned about what it will bring to the world economy," he said, adding that the influence of the incident on Macao's economy is under assessment.
