Ugandan President Condemns Terrorist Attacks on US

Ugandan President Yoweri Museveni has condemned the terrorist attacks on the World Trade Center in New York and the Pentagon in Washington.

In a statement issued Tuesday night, the president said the " Uganda government has always been warning the world about the actions of terrorists which are always either cowardly or misguided", adding the use of indiscriminate violence in pursuit of any cause must be condemned.

The president pointed out that terrorism needs to be eradicated as "we fight against all forms of oppression of man by man".

"As we extend our condolences to the people of the United States and to President George W. Bush, we call upon the world to act together to end terrorism", Museveni said.
