China Philharmonic Orchestra to Give Touring Performances in Taiwan
Invited by a Taiwan Cultural and Educational foundation, China Philharmonic Orchestra, led by Chairman Wang Gengnian and Arts Director Yu Long, will give five performances in Taipei and other three places in China's Taiwan Province from September 10-19. Conducted by Yu Long, the philharmonic orchestra will play the prelude to Tannh?user, an opera by Richard Wagner and Beethoven's G Major.
This concert is as reported the first one for China Philharmonic Orchestra to play outside China's mainland. And this performing tour will certainly play an active role in the exchange of music and arts across the Straits
