Software Exports Hit Record in South China CitySoftware exports in Shenzhen, a city in south China's Guangdong Province, had exceeded 170 million US dollars by August this year.By year end, the figure is expected to surpass 300 million U.S. dollars, six times the export volume of 2000, local sources said. The country's software exports hit 400 million U.S. dollars last year, and they are estimated to reach one billion U.S. dollars by the end of this year. The city government has taken measures to support software exports, such as granting bonuses to export enterprises, establishing software funds, promoting information projects and providing consulting services for overseas projects. As a result, the proportion of hi-tech in software exports is comparatively high in the city and broad market prospects with the United States, Europe and other developed countries have been forged.
