Int'l Porcelain Fair to Be Held in South China
The First China Fengxi International Porcelain Trade Fair is slated for October 12 to 30 in Chaozhou City in south China's Guangdong Province.
Over 600 porcelain producers in the city will display porcelain artworks, daily utensils, construction materials and sanitary products in a 25,000-square-meter exhibition area to customers from around the world.
Chaozhou, with over 1,300 years of porcelain-making history, gets 17 percent of its industrial revenue from porcelain. Its porcelain wares are exported to some 160 countries and regions in the world, which earns some US$300 million in foreign exchange annually for the city.
The fair, jointly sponsored by the Municipal Government of Chaozhou and the China Porcelain Industry Association, is expected to be held as a biannual event starting next year, with the spring session staged for April 12-30 and the autumn session for October 12-30.
