Sixth Tibet Autonomous Regional Congress of CPC Opens
The Sixth Tibet Autonomous Regional Congress of the Communist Party of China opened Monday in Lhasa.
Pagbalha Celeg Namgyai, vice-chairman of the Standing Committee of the National People's Congress and chairman of the Tibet Autonomous Regional Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference, attended the congress.
Guo Jinlong, secretary of the Tibet Autonomous Regional Committee of the CPC, delivered a report at the meeting, in which he vowed to safeguard the region's political and social stability, enhance CPC's leadership in Tibet and promote the region's economic developments.
