Shanghai Sets Up First Wild Insect Museum
A wild insect museum will be opened to the public in this leading commercial city on October 1, the National Day.
To be the first of its kind, the 3,000-square-meter museum will accommodate hundreds of wild insects and reptiles from all over the world.
The museum will be divided into many sections, including a butterfly valley, an insect corridor, an amphibian and reptile area, a tropical forest area, an insect playhouse, an insect classroom and a specimen-making display area.
Museum workers are preparing insect shows for tourists, like an insect parade and insects competing for food, according to sources.
