Li Peng Concludes Official Good-will Visit to Vietnam

Li Peng, member of the Standing Committee of the Political Bureau of the Communist Party of China( CPC) Central Committee and China's top legislator, concluded his official and goodwill visit to Vietnam Monday and left Hanoi for Beijing.

Li Peng is here at the invitation of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Vietnam(CPV) and the Standing Committee of Vietnamese National Assembly(VNA).

During the visit, which started last Friday and one of a series of high-level visits between the two countries in recent years, Li met and held talks with leaders of the CPV, the president, the country's National Assembly and the Vietnamese government, and exchanged views with them and achieved consensus on a broad range of issues such as further enhancing ties between the two socialist neighboring countries, promoting exchanges between the two countries' legislatures and economic and trade cooperations.

The two sides expressed the belief that under the right guidance of building long-term,future-oriented, good-neighborly and all-round cooperative relations between the two countries, Sino-Vietnamese ties will be further strengthened and have a brighter future in the 21 century.
