China Trade Fair Emphasizes Chinese Investment in Overseas Regions
The ongoing Fifth China International Investment and Trade Fair highlighted Chinese investment in overseas regions at a Sino-overseas mutual investment seminar on Sunday.
Officials from Chinese Ministry of Foreign Trade and Economic Cooperation noted that Chinese enterprises need to adopt a strategy that combines investing overseas and attracting foreign investment.
According to the ministry's statistics, China has invested in the establishment of 6,298 enterprises in over 160 countries and regions, involving a total investment of 11.36 billion U.S. dollars comprising Chinese investment of 7.57 billion U.S. dollars.
Starting on Saturday, the fair has launched a series of Sino- foreign mutual investment seminars, including some with countries such as South Africa, Chile, Nigeria, Britain and Arab countries.
