Senior CPC Official Meets Japanese GuestsZeng Qinghong, an alternate member of the Political Bureau of the Communist Party of China (CPC) Central Committee, met Friday with a delegation from the "Japan-China 21st Century Association" of the Democratic Party of Japan.Noting that next year will be the 30th anniversary of the normalization of Sino-Japanese relations, Zeng said the good- neighborly and friendly relations between the two countries are due to the contribution of the governments, political parties and people of both sides, which should be highly treasured. In order to push forward the healthy and stable Sino-Japanese relationship in the new century, said Zeng, also a member of the Secretariat of the CPC Central Committee, politicians of the two countries should properly handle problems existing in bilateral ties, with historical and strategic insight and taking into consideration the overall situation. Ito Eisei, deputy head of the Democratic Party of Japan, said his party will do its part in promoting the healthy and stable development of bilateral relations. The Japanese delegation, led by Ito Eisei, is here as guests of the International Department of the CPC Central Committee.
