Fu Quanyou, a member of the Central Military Commission and chief of the General Staff of the Chinese People's Liberation Army (PLA), met Friday with Le Hai Anh, deputy chief of the General Staff of the Vietnam People's Armed Forces (VPAF).

Fu said the Sino-Vietnamese relationship has grown smoothly as a result of joint efforts by the two countries, which have achieved good results in the course of cooperation in many fields.

He said the current relations between the PLA and the VPAF are satisfactory, and the friendly ties should be further developed in the future.
