 Vice-Premier Meets Western Forum Participants
Chinese Vice-Premier Li Lanqing met Friday afternoon with some participants in the three-day 2001 China Western Forum, which concluded Thursday in Xi'an, capital of northwest China's Shaanxi Province.
Li, also a member of the Political Bureau Standing Committee of the Chinese Communist Party Central Committee, listened to opinions put forward by the guests, mostly from overseas-funded enterprises.
He also briefed them on China's current economic situation and the development strategy for the western region, and welcomed them to invest there.
