Cholera Outbreak Hits 43 Victims in S. Korea

The National health Institute of South Korea announced Wednesday that a total of 43 victims of cholera have been reported to date. According to the patients they all ate in the restaurant, which has been pinpointed as the epicenter for the disease.

The NHI¡¯s Doctors Lee Jong-gu said that as the disease is spreading rapidly it is strengthening preventative measures against an epidemic by holding a series of meetings with the heads of public health centers nationwide. He added that those who ate at the restaurant should report to health centers even though they don't have any symptoms because it is suspected that some may be acting as carriers.
