Palestinians in Damascus Hold Sit-in Against Israeli Aggression

Dozens of Damascus-based independent national Palestinian committees organized a sit-in demonstration Tuesday in front of the UN office in protest against Israel's aggressive policies.

Protesters distributed a statement calling for providing Palestinian children a chance to survive and stopping Israel's systematic targeted-killing operations against the Palestinian leaders, the official Syrian Arab News Agency reported.

The statement also condemned the U.S. policy for its providing a political coverage to the Israeli aggression.

The protesters urged U.N. Secretary General Kofi Annan to issue a clear-cut statement condemning the Israeli practices, while declaring an indefinite hunger strike.
