Chinese General Meets Colombian Air Force Chief

Fu Quanyou, member of the Central Military Commission and chief of General Staff of the People's Liberation Army, met Tuesday with Hector Velasco, chief of the air force of Colombia.

They exchanged views on how to further bilateral ties and friendly relations between the two armed forces.

Fu expressed appreciation and gratitude for Colombia's long- time support for the one-China principle, and said that he expects the Colombian government to keep vigilant against attempts by the Taiwan authorities to disrupt Sino-Colombian relations.

Velasco said that he believes that China will achieve national reunification through its own efforts.
