Chinese State Councilor Leaves for Russia, Kazakhstan
Chinese State Councilor Wu Yi left Beijing Monday afternoon for Russia, to attend the fifth Meeting of the Joint Commission for the Regular Meetings of Heads of Government of China and Russia.
Wu Yi, also Chinese chairperson of the joint commission, is invited by Ilya Klebanov, Deputy Prime Minister of the Russian Federation and Russian Chairman of the joint commission.
Wu will accompany Chinese Premier Zhu Rongji on his visit to Russia and attend the sixth regular meeting between the prime ministers of China and Russia there. She will also attend the first Prime Ministers' Meeting of the member countries of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization in Kazakhstan.
