Large Quantity of Narcotics Recovered in Pakistan

Seven kilograms of heroin and 47 kilograms of hashish have been recovered in Pakistan's Balochistan province, according to reports from Quetta Sunday.

The Anti Narcotics Force (ANF) seized seven kilograms of heroin near Mastung on Saturday. The drug was buried in an apple orchard. It was packed in apple crates for smuggling to Karachi, ANF officials were quoted as saying.

In another case, Balochistan Frontier Corps seized 47 kilograms of hashish, two mortar bombs and five rounds of rocket launchers in an area near Pak-Afghan border on Saturday.

An ANF press release was quoted as saying the drug and ammunition were recovered after thorough search of the area following a tip-off. These items were found hidden under stones.
