10 Killed in North India Bus Accident
Ten people were killed and an equal number injured when a bus in which they were travelling fell into a deep gorge in Chamoli district of north
India
's Uttar Pradesh state on Saturday, the Press Trust of India (PTI) reported.
The accident occurred when the bus was negotiating a sharp turn, the PTI quoted local police as saying, adding that the conductor was among those killed but the driver escaped with injuries.
The injured have been hospitalized, said the PTI. No further details about the accident were provided.
