8 Dead, 4 Missing in Heavy Rain in Southwest ChinaA rainstorm hit southwest China' s Sichuan Province Friday, leading to the deaths of eight people and four are missing.In addition, nine people were injured in the rainstorm in Panzhihua City, where about 200 residential houses collapsed, and farmland, highways, bridges and power plants were damaged. Two separate landslides happened in Xichang City and Renshou County in the province, claiming two lives. Local governments are making efforts to rescue the victims of the floods. |
