Mother, Five Children Found Slain in U.S.
A mother and her five children were found slain in their home in Sioux City of Iowa, the United States, said reports reaching Washington Friday.
The family's bodies were found Thursday night by a baby sitter and appeared to have been there for a few days, local officials were quoted as saying.
A warrant was issued early Friday charging a suspect, Adam Matthew Moss, 23, with theft. Police said they want to question Moss in the deaths of the mother and her five children of ages 5 to 12.
Police Chief Joe Frisbie called the murders among the worst in the state history, and said he believes Moss is armed and still in the area.
Sioux City, on the Nebraska-South Dakota state line, has some 84,000 residents.
