Pakistan Denies Indian Charge of Enhanced Troop Movement Along LoC

Pakistani Major General Rashid Qureshi, Director General of Inter Services Public Relations (ISPR) Friday refuted the statement made by Indian government official alleging Pakistan troops' movement and fortification of defences along the Line of Control (LoC).

"The statement by the Junior Home Minister of Indian government is probably aimed at finding an excuse for additional induction of Indian troops into Kashmir and enforce the draconian 'Disturbed Areas Act' thereby enhancing atrocities on innocent Kashmiri people," said Qureshi.

He emphasized that Pakistan would continue to exercise "maximum restraint", which Pakistani President Pervez Musharraf reiterated times and again.
