Fuji Strengthens Cooperation with Chinese Tourism Industry

The Fuji Corporation will strengthens ties with the Chinese tourism industry to build a more comprehensive film-developing network, according to a senior official with Fuji.

He said that China has huge a potential market for photographic products consumption. Fuji will increase investment by 20 million yuan this year to help build more film selling and developing shops in scenic spots around China.

According to an estimation by the World Tourism Organization, China will become the biggest destination for tourists by 2020.

While China quickens its pace of entering the World Trade Organization and prepares for the Olympics, tourists are flocking to the country, promoting the film industry.

So far, Fuji has set up a digital film-developing network in over 20 Chinese cities. It plans to own 1,000 digital shops in three years.
