Mayor of Beijing Meets U.S. Visitors
Liu Qi, Mayor of Beijing met in Beijing Friday with Sy Sternberg, chairman, president and chief executive officer of New York Life Insurance Co. of the United States, and his party.
Following the accelerated pace of China's impending entry into the World Trade Organization, Beijing will promote the opening-up of its service industry, Liu said.
Beijing welcomes New York Life Insurance Co. to develop its business here and promote the growth of Beijing's insurance industry.
Sternberg said he hopes to have closer contact with Chinese insurance circles and provide more quality services to the Chinese people.
