China Beats Kazakhstan in Women's Volleyball Worlds Qualifiers

China claimed first victory in the opener of World Women's Volleyball Championships group qualifying match by beating Kazakhstan in straight sets in Macao Friday evening.

Facing the inexperienced Kazakhstan team, the Chinese girls met little resistance in the match, winning in 25-26, 25-6 and 25-11.

In another match of the group today, South Korea trounced Australia 25-20, 25-15 and 25-17.

China will meet Australia and South Korea takes on Kazakhstan Saturday.

Top winner of the group will qualify for the world championships next year.
