Shanghai to Erect Mobile Telecom BuildingThe foundations of a modern mobile telecommunication building was laid Tuesday in Shanghai, providing advanced facilities for the municipality to develop its mobile telecommunications.Shanghai Mobile Communications Co. will invest 360 million yuan (about 43.4 million U.S.dollars) in the construction, which will be 97-meter high, and cover 38,000 square meters in building area. Shanghai Mobile Communications Co. has kept strong momentum in growth and in the past five years, it has developed nearly four million customers. Construction of the building will take 29 months. |
