Wang Liqin Sails into Men's Singles Final while Liu Guozheng Crashes

Chinese paddler Wang Liqin advanced into the men's table tennis singles final while his teammate Liu Guozheng was crashed in another semi-final match at the 21st World University Games Wednesday evening.

Wang, first seed in the event, had an easy win over compatriot Zhang Yong 21-19, 21-18 and 21-11 for a final berth.

Liu Guozheng, seeded second, could not manage the challenge from Chuan Chih-Yuan of Chinese Taipei, who won in five sets 21-14, 15-21, 21-18, 20-22, 21-19.
