Paper Confiscated for Revealing County Party Secretary's "CI Project"
Worker's Daily, a major official newspaper in China, were reported being confiscated in Lushi County of Henan Province, for running articles revealing the County Party secretary Du Baogan's "CI projects" in 5 years.
The Sunday edition carried a long article on August 10 about how the former Party secretary engaged in his CI projects in a county of backward economy, which set the whole county in a boiling fervor and 10,000 copies were soon sold out.
Notwithstanding, August 15 heard a long distance call reach the local post officer from a deputy-director of publicity department of government committee of Sanmenxia City, demanding the confiscation of Worker's Daily and some relevant papers and magazines.
