Minsheng Opens New Branch in Xi'an

The China Minsheng Banking Corporation, one of the country's non-state banks, opened up a branch in Xi'an, capital of northwest China's Shaanxi Province, Tuesday.

Jing Shuping, vice-chairman of the National Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference and chairman of Minsheng, together with Secretary Li Jianguo of the Shaanxi provincial committee of the Chinese Communist Party jointly opened the new branch.

According to Minsheng President Dong Wenbiao, the branch will mainly provide financial services to non-state enterprises, hi- tech projects, and small and medium-sized enterprises, including capital support, market surveys, and management consultation.

Established in Beijing on January 12, 1996, Minsheng is a national joint-stock commercial bank focused on assisting non- state-owned industrial and commercial enterprises.

With its total assets worth over 100 billion yuan, Minsheng has so far set up 12 branches across the country and established surrogate cooperation with 420 counterparts in 69 countries and regions worldwide.
