IOC Executive Board to Meet in September

The Executive Board of the International Olympic Committee (IOC) will meet from 18 to 20 September 2001 in Lausanne, according to an IOC press release issued Monday.

The Executive Board will receive the reports on the progress made by the Organizing Committees for the 2002 Olympic Winter Games in Salt Lake City, the 2006 Olympic Winter Games in Turin and the 2004 Olympic Games in Athens, along with the reports of the IOC Commissions and working groups.

Representatives of the Association of Summer Olympic International Federations (ASOIF), the Association of the International Olympic Winter Sports Federations (AIOWF), National Olympic Committees (NOC) and athletes have also been invited to present a report to the Executive Board.

The press release said on 20 September, the Board will meet with the International Olympic Winter Sports Federations to discuss plans related to the 2002 Olympic Games and other issues.
