Second Jiangsu Provincial Horticulture Exposition to Be Held Next Month
East China's Jiangsu Province will hold its Second Horticulture Exposition from September 24 through October 8 in Xuzhou. The First Jiangsu Provincial Horticulture Exposition was held in Nanjing last year.
The theme of the Expo: Green Era--Ecological Gardens Facing the New Century.
Nanjing, Wuxi, Suzhou, Yangzhou and other 8 prefecture-level cities will build 12 gardens in the picturesque Yunlong Park, main venue of the Expo, while the host city Xuzhou will build 14 gardens.
The Expo will show special gardening and horticulture arts of various localities in the province.
The province plans to promote communication and cooperation with other parts of the country in the arts, according to sponsors.
Miniature landscapes, root carvings, and flower arranging will be displayed in the Yunlong Park. The province will also hold gardening trade fairs, display gardening technology, and seminars, as well as dragon boats racing and artistic performances.
The Expo will be hosted by the Provincial Construction Department, Department of Agriculture and Forestry and the Xuzhou Municipal People's Government.
