Oroqen People Enjoying Better Lives

Oroqen is one of China's ethnic minority groups living in Daxinganling in north China. Nowadays, the yearly revenue of Oroqen people exceeds 100 million yuan, and the people there are living a better life with every village being installed with telephones, TV sets. All the people there are enjoying free education, welfare and medical and healthcare. The ethnic group is now on the road for developing their agricultural production and will build the area into an important grain production base in Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region.

Within just one and half a year, Tangdian town of Anhui province has turned its original 2-square km sinking wasteland into a natural park for environment protection and ecotours. Raised in the park are peacocks, camels, zebras and several other kinds of animals as well as many plants including bamboo, willow trees, cinnamon, plum flower. Picture shows tourists are viewing camels in the garden.

During the ecological environment construction, Hainan province has drafted a series of measures for the protection of red woods, forbidding any damage to the woods. The province has set to increase the red woods area to 10,000 ha from current 5,000 ha within 15 years and to build 8 nature reserves for the woods with an area totaling 8,000 ha. Picture shows water birds roosting in the red woods are flying freely.
