Kerri Walsh/Misty May, United States vs Lucilla Perrotta/ Daniela Gattelli, Italy.

According to the FIVB ranking updated on August 20, Adriana Behar/Shelda Bede are ranked No. one. Sandra Tavares/Tatiana Minello are the world number three. Kerri Walsh/Misty May and Lucilla Perrotta/Daniela Gattelli are the sixth and 24th.
