China Beats South Korea in Women's Team Final

China crushed South Korea 3-1 in the women's team final of table tennis at the 21st World University Games in Beijing on Saturday.

World Cup holder Zhang Yining, ranked second in the world, overcame 22nd-ranked South Korean Kim Moo Kyo 2-0 in the opening game.

Niu Jianfeng, ranked 12th, beat world No. 9 Ryu Ji Hae in straight sets to put China 2-0 ahead.

Defensive player Oh Yoon-Kyeong pulled one point back for South Korea as she outlasted Yu Jingwei 2-1 in the third game.

Niu nailed the victory when she nipped Kim in straight sets in the fourth game.
