But China's top paddler met the strong challenge from DPR Korea. Zhang Yining, world number three, plunged into a see-saw set with Ko Un Gyong after she won the first set 21-14. Zhang was out of rhythm in the second set wherein she squandered his slim lead once the set and was deadlocked 18-18 and lost 22-20. But Zhang found her paces in the third set and beat her rival Ko Un Gyong 21-10. Niu Jianfeng and Tie Yana trounced Kin Mi Yong and Son Mi Suk respectively, both 2-0. China will face the winner between South Korea and Japan, which will be decided later. |
