Chinese Men Make Universiade Table Tennis Final

China sent its top men's table tennis players to the team semifinal against Egypt and won 3-0 at the 21st Universiade on Saturday.

World number one Wang Liqin, number four Liu Guozheng and former Chinese national champion Zhang Yong showed up in the same match in order to warm up for the final.

But Egypt, which eliminated Italy 3-2 in the quarterfinals, showed their talent in front of China. In the first game between Wang Liqin and Ahmed Aly Salh, the Egyptian rallied from 4-10 down to make it 11-11 and 20-20.

Wang had the match point at 21-20 and he didn't let go and finished off Ahmed Aly Salh 22-20.

Liu Guozheng and Zhang Yong had an easy day. It took them less than half an hour to finish their games.

Chinese Taipei faces South Korea in the other semifinal.
