Indonesian President to Make Working Visit to Singapore
Indonesian President Megawati Soekarnoputri will make a working visit to Singapore from August 26 to 27 as part of her visits to ASEAN countries, the Singapore Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MFA) announced Friday, August 24.
The president will be accompanied by her husband, Taufiq Kiemas and a 60-member delegation including Coordinating Minister for Political and Security Affairs Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono, Coordinating Minister for Economic Affairs Dorodjatun Kuntjoro- Jakti, and other senior officials.
During her stay in Singapore, she will meet with Singapore President S. R. Nathan, Prime Minister Goh Chok Tong and Senior Minister Lee Kuan Yew, MFA said.
The visit will be her first trip to Singapore since she took presidency four weeks ago.
